Nintendo Wii console sells 600,000 units in first week

The Nintendo Wii game console had a great week, selling through to more than 600,000 video gamers in the Americas in the first week of availability. Nintendo says that including first-party software and accessory sales, Wii instantly has become a $190 million business in the Americas. We all knew the Wii would be a hot seller this holiday, and thanks to the decent price ($250) shoppers scooped the Wii up at retail and online. The Nintendo Wii launch had hard-core gamers waiting to be the first to try the new Wii with its unique wireless remote controller. Every Wii gaming system includes the five-game Wii Sports software, and popular video games like Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, have already sold more than 454,000 units in the Americas. Nintendo also recently announced the availability of 62 Wii game titles.Wow, I cant believe the Wii is doing so well right off the bat. Lindsay Lohan Overdosed on Cocaine and Painkillers?

Allegations about Lindsay doing drugs are not new, but this is definitely the first time that she is named directly by a media outlet in an overdose scandal. ‘The National Enquirer’ just published a story on the red-headed actress, based on the words of an ‘inside source’ and claiming that she had overdosed on November 12th.Apparently, Lindsay was partying in her room at the Chateau Marmont (from which she was later evicted after a dispute with the management) and got a little too carried away riding the magic dragon. One of her many friends found her unconscious on the floor and immediately called for a doctor.Upon arriving, the unnamed physician found the room ‘drug-filled’ and Lohan lying unresponsive amidst ‘a stash of cocaine and a pile of prescription drugs’. Either because he was aware of the identity of his patient or because he realized that he shouldn’t be there, the doctor ran to the bathroom, threw the cocaine down the toilet and collected ’seven different prescription drugs’.Before the tabloid published this story, Lindsay was accused by Britain’s ‘The Sun’ for being a cutter, after she was spotted in London with several cuts on her forearm. Her publicist, contacted for comments, said that his client ‘took a tumble into a bush’ and played down the rumor.At about the same time, other sources said that, while presenting the World Music Awards, the actress stumbled off stage, mumbled her lines and left the ceremony before it was over, although she was the official host.Wow i can’t believe this. From What I Heard…Eddie Murphy will be returning to the big screen as Axel Foley for Beverly Hills Cop 4.The film will be released through Paramount. However, no release date has been specified, as they are still looking for a writer.
