Do You Really Need Those Credit Cards?

Are credit cards a necessary evil? That seems to be a popular topic as of late. Do we really need credit cards? Could we live without them? I believe we could do just fine without them if we could learn to budget our finances properly.
Some people have a hard time distinguishing the difference between what they need and what they want. Most products you typically purchase using a credit card will fall into the “items I want” category, such as that new high definition big screen tv with the surround sound system, or that new piece of exercise equipment sitting in your garage that you thought you needed and never did use.
You can spend all day trying to compare credit cards and making balance transfers to try and get the best credit card interest rates. You can even look for the best credit cards and companies. But, do you really need your credit cards?
Granted, some people use them rather than carrying around a pocket full of cash, and they pay the balance off every month, but, this isnt how the majority of people are using their credit cards.
Banks and credit companies are getting richer by the minute while the majority of the population falls further into debt everyday. Take a look at your finances and see if youre able to come up with a plan to eliminate credit cards from your daily living, you may surprise yourself. If you have to, get a prepaid credit card instead of carrying around cash, or use your credit cards wisely.
