I have found a great new ZIP utility. It’s called SecureZIP and it works great for sending private files and other information that you dont want to risk leaking by sending it normally. It’s also great if you just want to keep certain files secure on your personal or company computer.
I have always used the more well known ZIP softwares, but after trying SecureZIP, I’ll be sticking with it.
They have dubbed the software “SecureZIP - The next generation of ZIP” and i can see why. The GUI of the program is pleasing to the eye and it’s not cluttered with all sorts of useless functions that you might only use once a year. You can also set it up to work with Microsoft Outlook, so you can quickly and easily email the ZIP files you create.
I downloaded the free license version from www.SecureZIP.com. All you have to do is enter your email address and they will send you a link to download it for free.
They also have an Enterprise version of the program available for only $29.95, or you can purchase volume licensing for numerous computer systems.
I’m going to recommend the program to my manager at work. We’re always sending ZIP files back and forth for system updates and reports, so this will make things a little more secure, should a file get intercepted through our network security by some chance.
Check it out if you frequently use other ZIP programs or if youre just looking for a little extra security. It’s free, so theres no risk involved.

A friend of mine told me about a network monitoring tool called EndPointSecurity. This endpoint security tool allows you to scan your entire computer network to check and see what devices are connected to all of the computers in the network and who is using them.
It is especially handy to check whether employees are using USB sticks or other portable storage devices at work, and you can actually block access to these devices using this software. It can also display if someone is using an mp3 player, iPod, digital camera and much, much more.
If youre concerned with network security, such as employees copying data from company computers onto portable devices, or youre just trying to monitor who is doing what, this tool has lots of uses.
Check out their website at www.EndPointScan.com and try it for free.

If youre looking for convenient, easy to manage file storage, check out IBackup - Online Storage. They have a feature like no other online storage company I have seen before , it’s called “IDrive”.
After installation, your IBackup account will be mapped so that it appears as a local hard drive on your computer, which allows you to easily drag and drop files between your computer and your IBackup account, much like you can between hard drives.
Visit their website at www.IBackup.com and check out the online demos to see exactly how the IDrive feature works.

Yesterday I had to buy a new HDMI cable for my television. For some reason my old cable stopped working about a week ago, and i was just too lazy and cheap to go out and buy a new one to replace it.
My girlfriend wouldnt stop complaining, so of course I had to buy the thing, otherwise I would never hear the end of it.
A week of nagging and complaining seems to be my breaking point. Who knew?
Im actually glad i bought it now though. Just goes to show you, women know everything.

I recently upgraded my computer memory, also known as RAM (meaning Random Access Memory), to 2 gigs and i can really tell a tremendous difference in speed and overall performance.
I purchased my memory through MemoryStore.com and was very pleased with their customer service. I had a few questions regarding the types of ram my particular motherboard could use, and they helped me choose the right memory with no problem. They also didnt recommend the most expensive memory right off the bat like most places do, which was nice for a change. They pointed out various types of memory, all ranging in price so that i could save money, or buy the better performing, more expensive kinds.
Overall, I would definitely recommend them if youre looking to upgrade your computer memory, or if you have questions regarding memory.
